It can be challenging for Black women to find a hairstylist to care for their hair type, so founder David Kebo Houngninou started Ebena, an app that allows Black women to conveniently find and book hair services online — while giving hair professionals a platform to grow their business.

As a Black-owned small business herself, Chelsea found common ground in designing for another Black-owned business.
Her love for patterns and textures led to her creating Instagram assets inspired by the natural hairstyles that Ebena's clients specialize in — creating an ownable suite of backgrounds and templates.
