Instagram partners: Helping businesses grow

Last year we introduced the Instagram Partner Programme – making it easier for businesses both big and small to get help with growing their companies on Instagram. When the programme was launched, businesses around the world could get help with three key specialities: advertising tech, community management and content marketing.

Getting results with partners

Over the past year, Instagram partners have been contributing to the success of several businesses on Instagram. Well-known shoe brand Adidas teamed up with Instagram partner Wisebirds to promote its new line of NMD shoes amongst urban trend-setters in Korea. Using its proprietary application program interface, the Instagram partner helped Adidas to implement a reach and frequency tool on Instagram to better control and steer the video and carousel campaign. By teaming up with Wisebirds, Adidas drove three times more link clicks and advert reach than expected, had a 15% higher view-through rate compared to other channels and sold out of its NMD line completely.

Becoming a partner

Last week, we held our annual Global Partners Summit in San Francisco. During the two-day event, Jim Squires, Director of Market Operations for Instagram, spoke about the importance of partners in the coming year. "We believe that partners will continue to be a driver of growth in the year ahead – on-boarding new advertisers of all sizes, growing their investments and, most importantly, helping them get the most from the opportunities on Instagram," he says.
