With Boomerang—an app from Instagram—you can make everyday moments fun and unexpected with captivating mini videos that loop back and forth. All you need is a little movement, your phone and the Boomerang app for iOS or Android.

Tips for Success

Watch how the expert in veggies-turned-noodles, Inspiralized (@inspiralized), uses Boomerang to show off its product in action. And learn tips on how you can apply it to your business.

• Motion is key: Where there’s movement, there’s a Boomerang. Whether it’s objects, people or even the camera moving, Boomerangs require movement. No matter what you capture, the steadier you hold the camera, the better the shot.

• Share it out: Upload directly to your Instagram or Facebook account within the Boomerang app. You can also save your Boomerang and upload it to your Instagram Story.

• Make it pop: Once you bring your Boomerang into Instagram, use filters, trim the clip and choose a still frame you want the video to default to on your profile. You can also bring it into your Instagram Story and add stickers and other fun designs.

Note: you can now capture Boomerangs right within the stories experience.

• Bonus tip: Before capturing the video, quadrupole tap the screen with four fingers to reveal a secret menu. From there you can adjust video resolution, change how the Boomerang repeats (playing video forward and back, with or without a pause in the middle; forward only; or back only), and adjust the frame count and frame rate of your short video.

A Bit of Inspiration

In addition to showing off its spiralizer in action, look at some of the other ways Inspiralized is using Boomerang to share its business story.

Go behind the scenes: Show the human side to your business with impromptu videos of what you and your employees are up to.
