STREETBEES
After Streetbees used Stories templates to transform a still image into an attention-grabbing ad for Instagram Stories, it saw a 16X increase in app installs.

More than 2.5 million users—or “bees”—across 150 countries worldwide use the chat-style Streetbees app to share moments from their daily lives via videos, photos and text, receiving monetary rewards. Brands can then use this information to make informed business decisions based on consumer behavior. Founded in 2015, the Streetbees app is now used in more than 150 countries.

Streetbees wanted to create eye-catching ads in Instagram Stories to increase app installs, without investing in significant additional resources.

Streetbees hoped to boost app installs among a male audience in the US. However, it did not want to spend money to design an entirely new ad campaign, so it decided to use Stories templates.
Stories templates help brands develop a cohesive format and design style for Stories that complements their overall brand aesthetic. These templates typically come with pre-made layouts, including graphics, text or animations that brands can edit to fit an individual story.
Streetbees customized an existing image from its main feed and turned it into an attention-grabbing vertical ad for Stories. The photo, which featured an appetising image of a waffle covered in berries, was accompanied by large text that made an offer clearly and immediately. By adding motion to the story, viewers’ attention was captured throughout. The ad was shown to men in the US, as well as to a lookalike audience.
Between June 4–18, 2019, the Streetbees ad resulted in:
16X increase in app installs
655 incremental app installs with ads in Stories
29% decrease in cost per incremental click
