Last week, we announced the winners of the #WaterInMotion video contest at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity in France. With over 450 entries from all around the world, competition was steep. From motion graphic to stop motion videos, each entry was as varied as the next. “The 10 winning videos really embody the different elements of water in unique ways,” says this year’s judge, Andrew Keller, Global Creative Director of the Creative Shop for Instagram and Facebook. “Some are emotional, some are visually stunning, some are just fun to watch.”

Take a look at the top finalists who were featured throughout the week at the Instagram Water Exhibit and the top three grand prize winners who each won a Canon EOS 80D camera so they can continue capturing videos in full HD.

In addition to announcing the contest winners, many festival attendees came by to experience the Instagram Water Exhibit at Facebook Beach.

The Waterfall Room housed a cascading indoor waterfall where visitors had their portraits taken by award-winning photographer, George Lange (@george.lange). George captured over 25,000 photos throughout the week, each celebrating the diverse personalities of the visitors in front of the new Instagram icon’s color gradient.

The Iceberg Room featured artwork painted on a frozen backdrop by muralist, Sean Yoro (@the_hula). Juxtaposing the ice with the beach a few steps away from the exhibit, guests stepped inside the artic gallery walking between icebergs featuring Sean’s custom work.

Guests also attended an oceanside chat featuring former CCO at J. Walter Thompson (JWT) North America, Jeff Benjamin, and the Global Creative Director of the Creative Shop for Instagram and Facebook, Andrew Keller. They discussed the transformative ways brands are using Instagram, campaigns that go beyond the square, and how to concept for a visual and mobile world.
